Cherry Creek State Park: plan the site and season

Choose the site, then reserve

Cherry Creek has accessible campsites, level parking, power connections and a camper-services building with coin-operated showers and laundry. Check the individual site record for its exact utilities and dimensions.

Reserve through CPWshop or the reservation phone service, rather than at the park. Check-in is 1 p.m. and checkout is noon; agree the rental handover around those times.

Winter is a different service proposition

Cherry Creek describes winter camping from November 1 through March 31 in Abilene Loop only, with reservations. It says the dump station closes for winter and reopens April 1; showers and laundry can close seasonally.

If a proposal depends on a dump station, showers or laundry, ask the park for the date-specific operating status. Do not use a year-round park description to promise a winter facility.

Confirm longer stays and delivery

For a longer stay or repeat visit, ask the park which stay limit applies to your dates before paying. The park and general CPW guidance give different repeat-stay periods.

If you want a delivered rental, also ask the park to confirm the proposed operator, site, setup and collection. Agree the same plan with the owner before committing to either booking.
