A useful starting recommendation

If your itinerary changes campground, begin with a collected motorhome shortlist or a separately verified towable setup. If your plan is to remain in one campsite, investigate a delivered arrangement first. Compare the complete proposals to decide which costs less for your trip.

For a delivered stay, write a local-transport plan. For pickup, write the collection and return plan. Count those jobs in the comparison even if a marketplace quote does not contain a line for your time.

Agree the scope of delivery

Delivery and setup charges vary by owner and distance. Agree who handles setup, utilities, service issues and collection in writing. Reserve time for the walkthrough, whether you collect the RV or receive it at the campsite.

Rocky Mountain National Park requires permitted commercial delivery under its park conditions. At a state park, confirm the proposed operator and delivery arrangement directly with the park before committing.

Choose only after the unresolved column is short

Pick up only once the handover area, timing, vehicle and return obligations make sense together. Choose delivery only once the park and owner agree on that specific arrangement. If permission remains unanswered, keep a pickup alternative or another campground option open.

Compare the two proposals on identical nights and campsite assumptions. Ask for delivery/setup/collection charges separately and for pickup usage/return charges separately. A deposit belongs in cash-needed planning even when it is not an expected consumed trip cost.

Write both proposals on one page

Use identical dates and the same overnight base. For pickup, add the transfer, handover, usage and return plan. For delivery, add the agreed setup and collection, permission and your transport during the stay. Keep any unknown essential cost or permission visible before choosing.

A one-base weekend is a useful starting point when you want time to learn the rental. A moving trip needs collection and return windows that leave the intended travel days workable. Choose the arrangement that supports the schedule rather than squeezing the schedule around a headline rate.

Continue with Denver rental planning, compare the campground services and seasons, or put both proposals into the first-rental workbook.
